![]() I worry that more and more PayPal customers are being scammed while PayPal is doing nothing at all. ![]() PayPal’s story seems to keep changing every time I get in touch with them. I do not understand why no one mentioned the requirement for the FBI complaint a month ago when I called. If I had not asked to speak with the supervisor, I would have done exactly what they said and it would have done no good at all. I was instructed to email the report to When I finally spoke with a supervisor, I was told that I had to submit the report via the Resolution center, not via email so I was misinformed again on this call. I was then told that I now have to file a report with the FBI. Then I was put on hold I asked that they call back if we are cut off, and was told that they have no way to call back if the call is dropped. I called PayPal, and was told to return the plastic hose I asked them to actually read the complaint. Since then, PayPal has done nothing: whenever I look, my case is under review. The crooks offered to refund half of my money, which I refused. And hold onto the package and its contents.Įdit: Here it is September 25th, and no refund (it was promised by September 12th). If you receive a package that you’ve not ordered, try to figure out what packages that you have ordered have not yet arrived, and start working to determine the status of those orders. Fortunately, PayPal has seen problems like this with this vendor before, and say that they should be able to refund my money on September 8th. It seems as if they pick from a limited number of canned email responses, without regard to what you write to them. Subsequent email interactions with the vendor have been laughable. ![]() If I had known when the package was due to arrive, I would have seen that it was the rubber tubing rather than the shower. They intentionally do not provide tracking information ahead of time, so that you are unable to correlate the delivery of the small package with the order for the more expensive item. The vendor claims to ship a large and expensive product, and has tracking information to prove that something was delivered, but the product shipped is not the product ordered. My post office confirmed that they delivered something on the 10 th, but my carrier said that she would have remembered such a large box (2’x2’x2’) and that she had not delivered such a box to me. On the EC-FirstClass web site, they provide a USPS tracking number, 9200190269849037361575. Note that the tracking claims that the package weighed 0.081 kg this is in keeping with rubber tubing not with the showers. Tracking indicates that the package was handed off to the USPS on 8/7/20 and delivered on 8/10/20, but I never received it, and my neighbors have not seen it. This web site is terrible: it only contains one page, and most of the links do not work. I then contacted them via They gave me tracking number GCL200731BD8R1001067 which is only useful through web site. On August 19th, I tried to reach the shower vendor via their PayPal email of record, but that email bounced. Thinking nothing of it, I just threw it away. I knew that I had not ordered the tubing. There was no packing list enclosed, and no indication of the originating company. On August 10th I received a short (perhaps 12″) piece of clear 3/4″ plastic tube, from China. I received no shipping confirmation and no tracking information. I ordered an outdoor shower system back on July 24th 2020, paying through PayPal. If you receive a small, inexpensive item that you did not order, you need to be alert. ![]()
